ARRL Field Day 2026 with AARC — June 27–28

· Chris, KJ5DJC · Club News

The biggest on-the-air event of the year is almost here.

ARRL Field Day 2026 takes place June 27–28, and the Austin Amateur Radio Club will once again be operating from:

5805 N Lamar Blvd
Austin, TX 78752

Field Day is part emergency communications exercise, part operating event, part technical demonstration — and one of the best opportunities of the year to experience Amateur Radio in action.

Whether you’re:

  • A newly licensed Technician
  • An experienced HF operator or contester
  • Curious about portable operations
  • Interested in emergency communications
  • Or simply “radio-curious”

…we’d love to have you join us.

Throughout the weekend we’ll have multiple stations on the air, opportunities to operate HF, mentoring for newer operators, food, and plenty of good radio fellowship.

Friends, family members, and prospective hams are absolutely welcome, so feel free to invite anyone interested in seeing Amateur Radio in action.

Additional information about station scheduling, operating times, setup coordination, and event logistics will be shared as we get closer to Field Day weekend.

We’re looking forward to another great year of operating, experimentation, mentoring, and community — and we hope to see you there.
