About AARC
Our Mission
Advancing the art of Amateur Radio in Central Texas since 1916.
Mission Statement
Our goal is to promote the advancement of technical competence and operator skills in the art of Amateur Radio, to serve the community by providing public service and emergency communications, and to maintain the local repeater infrastructure.
Who are we?
The Austin Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (AARC) is an active affiliate of the ARRL (American Radio Relay League). The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month — members and visitors are always welcome.
Members are active in a number of specialized areas including Field Day, contesting, digital modes, repeaters, and emergency communications (EMCOMM). AARC invites all hams — and those looking to become a ham — to be part of our community.
Club Leadership
Club officers are elected every December, with nominations beginning in October or November.
